The chakras

🌈 The chakras 🌈

The body is made up of thousands of energy bodies, grouped into several centers where these energies converge: the chakras. In Sanskrit, the term chakra means wheel.

Our body is made up of nadis , the energy channels. We have about 72,000 of them and their role is to circulate our prana , our vital energy.

Among these nadis , three are particularly important: ida, pingala and sushumna. It is the meeting points of these channels that form the chakras.

These nadis are located along our spine:
- Ida, located on the left is the lunar channel. It controls the activities of the mind.
- Pingala, located on the right is the solar channel. It controls physical activities.
- Sushumna is the central channel in which the spiritual energy, the Kundalini, circulates. It is the balance in Ida and Pingala.

There are 7 main chakras , each corresponding to a part of the body, and associated with its own color, a musical note, a mantra, etc.

The role of the chakras is to absorb energy from the base of the spine (the root chakra) to the top of the skull (the crown chakra) and redistribute it. Good energy circulation implies good vitality , a strong immune system. An imbalance in the chakras can lead to illness, a drop in energy and an alteration of our cognitive and intuitive abilities.
